We strongly condemn the killing of Suleman Masih by armed forces firing in Okara. Nazir Bhatti.

New York. August 30. Mr. Nazir S. Bhatti, president of Pakistan Christian Congress have condemned the killing of Suleman Masih by the firing of Armed Forces of Pakistan on the peaceful protest of the tenants of the military farms in Okara Cantonment

Mr. Nazir S Bhatti said that this lower grade of professions of Sanitary worker was performed by Muslims and lower class Hindus in Pakistan and that Muslim sanitary workers were known ad Deendars in Punjab who were not Christians but Muslims and none of Christian was in this profession of cleaning of filth in subcontinent of India. He said that Christians were peasants, teachers, nurses and with other respectable professions in Indian society but after independence of Pakistan this profession of sanitary workers was imposed on Christians by the Muslims and now again the government policy makers are pushing the Christian peasants of Okara to the big cities after taking their lands to impose this profession on them. He said that there is 98% of Christian population in sanitary workers profession now in Pakistan when it was 0% before creation of Pakistan. He urged that such a high price may not be cashed by the poor Christian community in Pakistan to favor the Pakistan movement and decide to live with Muslims in Pakistan. He said the founder of Pakistan, Quaid e Azam, promised the living units of agricultural lands to Christians during Pakistan movement but instead of giving more agricultural lands to Christians the Christians peasants were snatched by their lands to give it to the Muslims immigrants. Mr. Bhatti demanded the end of the siege of Okara by the Armed Forces of Pakistan and arrests the killers of Suleman Masih. He condemned the government move to nominate the injured Muslims in that firing in the death of Suleman Masih and said that such wicked moves are the intentions of state to apartheid Christians in the society.
