According to the spokesman Mr. Basharat Khakher from APMA, "Medical board has examined the age of Rimsha and presented the report in the court that Rimsha is of 14 years and 11 days old. Today Rimsha’s lawyer, “Tahir Naveed Chaudary” has presented her bail application in the court Session Judge, Mr. Raja Jawad Abbas Hassan, who read the application on the bases of her age factor and on her mental disability (Down's syndrome). The Judge has ordered the lawyer to come for the hearing day after tomorrow, on 30th August, 2012. The lawyer Tahir Naveed chaudhary said the girl was unable to respond to police questioning; others that she is of normal intelligence and so culpable. So the court has adjourned the case till day after tomorrow on 30th August, 2012. There was large crowd outside the court, and few media persons were also seen there, most of them were not Pakistani. It’s sad that local media is not picking up this case.
