2 Minute Silence observed for Shaheed Shahbaz Bhatti in Sindh Assembly

Karachi: May 7, 2012. (PCP) Today morning, 7th May, 2012 the Sindh Assembly Session was chaired by the penal Chairman Mr. Anwer Mehar at the outset Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar

President, All Pakistan Minorities Alliance Sindh, Member of Provincial Assembly Sindh & Chairman Standing Committee on Minorities Affairs Sindh apprised the house that the former Governor Punjab Mr. Salman Taseer was brutally murdered due to extending support to Christian lady Ms. Asia Bibi who had been accused of Blasphemy Law and was in jail. Similarly the former Federal Minister of Minority Affairs and Central Chairman All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA) Shahbaz Bhatti was also assassinated but the Petitioner and the witnesses in this case could not appear before the court, because of fear and insecurity and as such the Court acquitted the accused due to lake of evidence. Due to the acquittal of this accused the Christians in Pakistan feel in secure and living under the fear. A two minute silence was observed in Sindh assembly on the request of Saleem Khursheed Khokhar
