Toronto, Canada: March 22, 2012. (PCP) The International Christian Voice ICV Executive Committee expressed full confidence on leadership of Mr. Peter Bhatti, Chairman of ICV in a meeting on March 18, 2012.

The ICV executive met to discuss situation after resignation of ICV President Mr. Pervez Masih and decided to accept it. The ICV Executive flayed allegations laid on leadership of ICV in resignation of Mr. Pervez Masih and urged Christian community in Canada to stand united for Christian cause and to promote vision of Martyr Shahbaz Bhatti. Mr. Bosco Martyrs, secretary General of ICV in a letter have said that ICV is proud of its accomplishments and services for community. Here’s is copy of the letter: Dear Friends Greetings, I am writing this letter to you because of an email and a resignation letter you may have received from the ex-President of the International Christian Voice (ICV) Mr. Pervez Masih. First of all, let me apologize for getting all of you involved in this matter by Mr. Pervez Masih. I am sure you have many more important issues to deal with on a daily basis, other than the affairs of our organization, and that if Mr. Pervez Masih gets the glory or not. Since there has been a deliberate effort made through this email to mislead the community, I feel it is very important that you get the correct information regarding our organization and/or our Chairman Mr. Peter Bhatti. ICV is devoted to the ideals and vision of our late founder martyr Shahbaz Bhatti. Since its inception, ICV has worked tirelessly for the persecuted Christians of Pakistan. We have done so with minimal resources and personnel. No one has worked harder than our chairman Mr. Peter Bhatti who has selflessly devoted his time and money for the cause. The entire ICV Executive wants to assure you that we support, and will continue to support, Mr. Peter Bhatti 100% in his leadership and all of his work for the oppressed and persecuted religious minorities of Pakistan and elsewhere in the world. As an organization, ICV is proud of its accomplishments and of the fact that all its operations have been totally transparent. We will continue to seek people of good-will from all walks of life to help us with our work. Furthermore, in regards to the matter of resignation by Mr. Pervez Masih, ICV Executive in a meeting on March 18, 2012, has noted that the distribution of the copy of resignation to the entire community and to the politicians was very distasteful, and is of the opinion that this irresponsible action by him may have caused irreparable harm to the cause of Martyr Shahbaz Bhatti. The executive in the meeting expressed great disappointment with his performance over the past year. As a President, he failed to provide leadership and exhibit commitment. His absence during executive meetings was very noticeable and he failed to offer his vision moving forward after the Martyrdom of Shahbaz Bhatti. Also ICV Executive noticed his lack of contribution in regards to resources and influence in organizing ICV events and activities. The ICV Executive believes this resulted in additional responsibilities for the ICV Chairman. In this meeting, ICV Executive unanimously accepted his resignation effective March 3, 2012. We wish Mr. Pervez Masih all the best in his future endeavours. Sincerely, Bosco Martyres General Secretary International Christian Voice Canada
