New York: February 14, 2011. (PCP) Pakistan Christian Congress PCC campaigned against devolution of Federal Minority Ministry when

Shahbaz Bhatti, Federal Minister for Minority Affairs kept sealed lips in Cabinet Meeting in which decision to dissolve Minority Ministry was approved along with other Nine Federal Ministries under 18th Amendment in Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan said Dr. Nazir S Bhatti “PCC issued first statement against governments decision on November 11, 2010, threatening Right Action on which one office of MP of United Kingdom contacted PCC and promised to raise this issue in House and with government of Pakistan on devolution of Minority Ministry” added Nazir S Bhatti Pakistan Christian Congress raised issue of devolution of Minority Ministry in Human Rights Day Conference on December 9, 2010, organized by REAL in National Press Club in Washington DC and in Human Rights Day Conference organized by Voice of The Copts on December 16, 2010, at SVC Room number 8 at Capital Hill, Washington DC. Meanwhile, PCC submitted memorandums with government of Pakistan and EU, appealing not to dissolve Federal Minority Ministry. The Bishops Conference of Pakistan and National Commission for Justice and Peace in Pakistan were silent and never campaigned against government decision to transfer Federal Minority Ministry to provinces. It is on record that Catholic Bishop of Lahore and Peter Jacob of National Commission were so desperately issued a statement which was covered by Church News agencies and Church based International Media on February 4, 2011, in which they proposed to merge Federal Minority Ministry with Federal Human Rights Ministry. “It is yellow journalism that some Church based International media which published February 4, 2011, statement of Catholic clergy and Church based Commissions are now trying to credit them who never issued any statement against government decision and ignoring Pakistan Christian Congress PCC campaign against government of Pakistan” said Dr. Nazir Bhatti Nazir Bhatti said that we organized hunger strikes and struggled to separate Federal Minority Ministry from Religious Affairs Ministry nor Shahbaz Bhatti,s All Pakistan Minority Alliance APMA or Bishops Conference of Pakistan. It is on record that as a Federal Minority Minister Shahbaz Bhatti never raised any objection on devolution of Federal Minority Ministry but its surprising that now yellow journalism is praising them. Nazir Bhatti said that Pakistan Christian Post PCP is only voice of millions of Pakistani Christians and a sign of struggle of downtrodden nation because PCP was established to give voice to oppressed poor Christians when Church based national and international media was covering only Bishops and their tools in Church funded commissions and other organizations not independent Christian groups and parties. “I claim that Pakistan Christian Post PCP is number one in readership in Pakistan and attracts millions in Pakistan and around globe and Pakistan Christian Congress PCC is only political party counted by establishment of Pakistan which amounts its credibility” said Nazir Bhatti
