Security Heightened After Attack On Pope
Rome: December 28, 2009. Security is tighter around Pope Benedict in the aftermath of an attack on the Pontiff during Christmas Eve Mass.
He appeared to be in good shape as he visited a soup kitchen in Rome on Sunday.
The Pope ate with 150 people, including a Muslim political refugee and a 90-year-old Italian widower.
On Christmas Eve, a woman lunged at Pope Benedict, dragging him down as she was quickly tackled by security agents.
Vatican officials say they will consider security measures, but don't want to do anything to keep the Pope from being in touch with crowds.
