Toronto. April 21. (PR) Mr. Hamid Bashani, Secretary General, Council of Advocates International said that the Kashmiri refugee's camps in Muzafferabad are the Worst Instance of human rights violations and breeding grounds for terrorists. These camps

In the letter the Refugees stated their Plight and said that they were displaced because of cross border shelling, terrorism and violence. Most of them were misguided and in some Cases forced by the fundamentalist outfits to leave their homes and cross the border. Once they crossed the border to Azad Kashmir, they became Hostages in the hands of ISI and fundamentalist Militant outfits. They were forced to live in those camps with their women and children in horrific and unspeakable Situation. These camps were built as showcases for International delegations and fact-finding missions to highlight the Indian atrocities. The fundamentalist Militants used these camps for recruitment, shelters for foreign mercenaries, safe houses and arm storages. Refugees From the camps are forced to transport arms across the Border and security forces kill most of the time. Their miseries do not stop here; the local police Frequently pay the visits to their camps and commit Gross violations of human rights. The police have unlawfully raided these camps several times in recent months and arrested and tortured some Refugees. The Council has appointed a three members committee to further investigate the situation. The committee includes Sussane Davis, Dr Hermel Singh and Mandy Dugel. The Coouncil secretary General Hami Bashani has expressed deep concern over the situation and appealed to the international rights groups to Intervene.
