Greetings in the purest name of our Lord Jesus Christ! While we celebrate Advent season, Christians in India are tempted through a different form of persecution and threats. On 1st December, St. Sebastian's (Catholic) Church in Dilshad Garden area, East Dehli; was set on fire; much of the building is destroyed including prayer hall, altar and all statues of Mother Mary and Jesus Christ. According to details, the police is insisting the fire broke out due to short circuit, however, evidences by those who visited proves that the smell of fuel oil could be smelt even after 10 hours of burning of the Church. The Archbishop Anil Couto, local Christians and some human rights organizations made a strong protest and forced police to register the case against unknown culprits. Just think, that we are in celebration, but our brothers and sisters are mourning in India. Please take a moment or two to say prayers that Lord may help them and may guide them at this hour of need and God may give them strength and courage to bear their Witness boldly and these forces of darkness could not snatch their peace, which is given by our Lord Christ.
