Sub:- (i)- Modi & Thackeray not realizing their real political strengths (ii)- If parted Shiv Sena (SS) nationally will damage BJP immensely if it becomes responsible about SS in rest of India (iii)- If SS revives its original strength of pro - employees too, BJP will get severe beating politically (iv)- Anna / Ramdev agitation on black - money against Modi’s U-turn will be crucial for political future of BJP (v)- On Hindutva issue too, BJP will be no match to SS, especially about Kashmir and N-E Dear Editor Maharashtra Assembly 2014 Election has delivered a fractured mandate where, as per media reports, BJP little less than majority may form the minority government with the support of small parties (other than SS and Congress) and independents and with promised outside support of NCP too. But the way it is projected in media that it may be bad for SS and very good for BJP is not the whole political implication of this development, as given below :- (1)- SS since late eighties started spreading out of Maharashtra but it did not have alliance with BJP in rest of India (contrary to what it had in Maharashtra). The national leadership of SS (Thackerays) did not want SS to become powerful in rest of India because it never wanted to weaken BJP in rest of India (due to Maharashtra factor). Hence what difficulties, harassment, violence etc SS members in rest of India faced can be known only by experience. Also SS fielded candidates in elections of State Assemblies and Parliament (by giving them A&B Forms) but the national leadership of SS never came for canvassing for SS Candidates in rest of India. (2)- The national leadership of SS also usurped all the position of national executives without giving any voting right to SS members of rest of India. Even Election Commission of India (ECI) also did not enforce organizational elections in SS [rather ECI has been behaving in a way (if there would have been any other organisation / institution then it would have created reasonable doubt) as if it was taking bribes from SS to allow SS to avoid organisational elections despite complaints to ECI]. Income Tax department is also not ensuring annual return of audited financial accounts of SS. (3)- Third discrimination the national leadership of SS did to SS members of rest of India is that though SS emerged in Maharashtra on the basis of economical issues as is evident from its trade union activities in early days of SS (by union leaders Madhukar Sarpotdar, Ganesh Naik etc) but it never bothered about economic and labor problems of rest of India and never took interest in protecting the rights of employees even when so many factories closed in rest of India due to industrial dispute. (4)- Fourth discrimination the national leadership of SS did to SS members of rest of India is that it carried out its political activities in Maharashtra about economic matters and other day to day concern of Marathi Manoos. But in rest of India it confined SS mainly to only religious issues (especially against Muslims by taking the absurd excuse of mis-interpreted Hindutva ideology of SS). Because office bearers of SS in rest of India kept on getting some coverage in media on the basis of their some protest, agitation, memorandum etc on Hindutva (mainly against Muslim) issues hence they remain cling to SS, despite knowing that they are not been allowed / encouraged by SS to carry out proper political activities in rest of India. (5)- Fifth discrimination. On Hindutva issue also the national leadership of SS never supported SS members from rest of India. Being a cadre based party SS can mobilize committed members and SS (of north India) wanted to solve the problem of ‘Displaced Kashmir Pundits’ (DKP) in 2002 after talking to Kashmiri Samiti Amar Colony Lajpat Nagar New Delhi by providing Lakhs of Shiv Sainiks as protector companion to DKP who wanted to be rehabilitated in Kashmir. But the national leadership of SS sabotaged this initiative of SS of rest of India (otherwise by this time DKPs would have been rehabilitated long back in Kashmir valley amongst the Kashmiris [not as presently BJP is trying to rehabilitate Kashmiris in separate Kashmiri Colonies (or rather posh ghettos) out of sheer cowardice of BJP type Hindus]. (6)- Therefore if Modi out of his anti-coalition policy does not include SS in Maharashtra government then there is a big danger for the very respectable-political-existence of BJP across India. If Udhav Thackeray has inherited even a trace of high moral and self respect of Bala Saheb Thackeray then he may roar like a lion and may not mind sacrificing negligible power in Mumbai Mahanagar Palika & some ministries in Union cabinet and may decide to become alternative major Hindutva and pro - employees (in addition to pro - employers) party in India. (7)- SS will do well if starts behaving responsibly and goes for (i)- Organizational election in all the states and national executive through organizational election (ii)- Filing of annual returns of audited financial accounts of SS (iii)- Solution to the problem of DKP along with demand of retrieve of POK in time bound period along with abolition of Article 370 of Constitution (iv)- Identification, tracking of Bangladeshi infiltrators (especially in N-E) and deporting them otherwise demanding commensurate territory from Bangladesh (v)- Mixed economy (joint-capitalism) where State-capital born out of fiscal deficit will be deployed profitably mainly in job guarantee program and PDS (vi)- Federalism where all natural resources will be with State (vii)- Organizing employees of job guarantee program of States and of NREGA (viii)- No disinvestment of any public sector [ironically people who can not run a factory / economic program in profit (in BJP etc.) are claiming and aspiring to run the country] (ix)- Participatory UN in place of veto - wielding UN (x)- Demanding practical ‘one State solution’ in place of absurd ‘two state solution’ for Israel - Palestine problem (which has been disturbing world peace for so long). (8)- BJP should also not forget that Anna ( may be later on Ramdev too) who has already written a letter to Modi about his U-turn regarding disclosing all the name of foreign account holders of black money (and on other related matters), if goes on agitation then it has a potential of getting into a major political upheaval and will be crucially harmful for political future of BJP. Like Anna people are surprised that when Modi knew about ‘Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement, (DTAA, which in any case is not an impediment in bringing black money, despite government saying so) then why during election speech he promised to bring black money from foreign countries which will enable him to give 1.5 million rupees to every poor of India (which equals to whopping amount of ~ 40 years of budgeted revenue income of Union of India, which is about ~ 10 million rupees per year). [There are two types of black money (i)- penal income tax can be levied on legitimately earned money only and rest to be left with holder of such black money (ii)- But criminally earned money like from corruption, ransom, smuggling, extortion etc has to be confiscated fully by government and nothing is to be left with holder of such black money] (9)- Thackerays forgot a basic political lesson. Once a party spreads in entire India and neglects rest of India (than Maharashtra) then its logical contradiction will see to it that neither it remains powerful in Maharashtra nor in rest of India (where it even never tried so). May be the humiliation (not only by way of election result 2014 Vidhansabha elections but even the way BJP treated SS during pre-election and post election alliance, where any talk of 1995 formula etc proposed by SS is anathema to BJP), may constrain national leadership of SS to come in its original flair & flavor - which once attracted thousands and thousands of Shiv Sainiks to Bala Saheb Thackeray’s Shiv Sena. (10)- Therefore If Udhav Thackeray start doing politics for honor and for peace and prosperity of India by behaving responsibly towards SS members of rest of India as mentioned above then the corporate sector of India (and its media) etc who are saying that at the most they can support only one political party as the party of the center (which presently it is doing for BJP, with ideology of exclusive private capitalism against joint - capitalism etc) may have to think again especially in view of spectacular rise of SS on the horizon across India. Therefore Modi / BJP before pushing SS too much against the wall, should keep also the potential political demise of BJP in view - in case Udhav DECIDES, as mentioned above, to live up to even a bit of the legacy of Bala Saheb Thackeray.
