The Editor, THE DAILY PAKISTAN CHRISTIAN POST, PAKISTANrnSir:rnRecently I saw Rs. 20/= currency note of Pakistan, bearing the portrait of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. I was very much surprised to see that in that portrait he was shown to be wearing a red cap (topi) and a red sherwani. This is false and insulting. I do not recollect to have seen any of his photographs showing him wearing a red cap (topi) and a red sherwani. Nor I have seen any other Muslim in such red coloured dress. Only Santa Claus is presented red cap (topi) and a red loosened sherwani / long coat in the Western World. This is imaginary and cartoon type.rnPerhaps it is better not to make any further discussion on the subject. Such discussions may become very embarrassing one.rnIn the circumstances, it is strongly advisable that the said Rs. 20/= currency notes of Pakistan showing Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan to be wearing a red cap (topi) and a red sherwani should be immediately withdrawn from the circulation, showing respect to him as one of the most important and historic political leaders of the world.rnYours truly,rnA.B.M.
