Dear Mr Bhatti Many thanks for introducing the NGO 'Voters Network-Pakistan.' This is yet another sign that Pakistan is on its way to progressively becoming a democratic country. Recently, there have been quite a few high quality articles written on this subject in Pakistani press, both in Urdu and English. As regards Voters Network-Pakistan, they do seem to have identified a gap in the Pakistani media and political needs. I do agree that a lot work needs to be done to power-up the existing institutions and also to create many new ones to enable democracy to work properly. This is what I understand a CIVIL SOCIETY means. It is going to be a long process. Is this not what evolution is all about? Working together is the way forward in this interdependent world.
