Dr. Bhatti, Just wanted to drop you a note of appreciation for all that you are doing to improve awareness regarding the struggles and hopes of Pakistani Christians . I recently witnessed as you addressed the Press Club in Washington DC. As the son of Ch. Saleem Aslam , I am well aware of the difficulties and the challenges you might face on a day to day basis in carrying on the call that you have been charged with. My father was one of the very first Christian attorneys in Faisalabad all through from the 50,s to the 80's until he moved to the States to retire in 1989. I had the honor of taking care of him for the last ten years of his life until he went to be with the Lord in 1999. Growing up in Faisalabad, I had a front row seat in observing him fight for the rights of poor and helpless Christian constituents of his community. I remember his leadership through the whole time period when the Christian Institutions very nationalized in the 70's. I am residing in Illinois State at the present time and just turned 50 this year. I have raised a boy and he is on his own working . I feel like at this juncture of my life , after fulfilling my worldly duties that I can now dedicate my time to the Calling that Lord Our God would want me to fulfill.
