Dear Sir: The minority religious communities of Pakistan opposed the seperate electorates and demanded joint electorate. Now that we in Pakistan have joint electorates they are demanding reserved seats for themselves. I think they should make up their minds whether they want joint electorates where they can stand for any seat and vote for any candidate or they want return to religious based elections. Pakistan has more than 97% Muslim majority and there is no single constituency in the country where religious minority has majority thus will not be able to elect any member to the assemblies. They have to join main stream parties and get tickets from them to get wider support. I oppose reserved seats for religious minorities and the only other alternative is seperate religious electorate which was abolished few weeks ago.
