Dear Dr Nazir Bhatti, I was very grateful to find the Pakistan Christian Post website. I am not a native of Pakistan, but I am a Christian. I live in Kalamazoo, Michigan. My husband is a Muslim from Karachi. We have a seven-month-old daughter named Sophia. Because of our religious differences, we were not planning on having children, but we were blessed with Sophia anyway. My husband has decided that because Sophia will not be raised Muslim, he does not want to see her or be a part of her life. We do not want his family (his parents still live in Karachi) to see her either. Although it is difficult for me to understand his choice, I have no choice but to accept it. I believe that, as she gets older, it will be important for Sophia to have a connection to her heritage. Unfortunately, I only know what my husband has shared with me about Pakistan. We have a fairly large Pakistani and Indian community in Kalamazoo because Western Michigan University is located here, however, I am having a very hard time locating any Pakistani Christian organizations or communities. I am sure that you get hundreds of emails everyday, but I am hoping that you can offer me suggestions on finding any Pakistani Christian organizations to share with my daughter.
