I am writing this letter in response to what I have read on the internet. Instead of belittling my Father Francis X. Lobo, a great Christian leader and businessman who has done great things for his community, I would suggest you highlight these accomplishments which include being a former member of the Majlis-e-Shoora, a former president of the Goan Union, a former Treasurer for the Red Crescent and one of the people instrumental in the development of the Blood Bank. The only reason he was ostracized by his own race (Goans) was his association with Punjabi Christians who he felt deserved more help in society. The Goan race as a whole felt that Punjabi Christians were beneath them resulting in the same kind of prejudice you show in your article towards Muslims. The mere Outburst that my father was a puppet by the government shows how less informed you are as his appointment was one of merit. We lived in our three bedroom house after the appointment thus negating your accusations of special privileges.
