I am a Pakistani Muslim living in Canada and ask myself similar questions when I see a Muslim become a Qadiyani to obtain political asylum and welfare. In the beginning they secretly remain Muslim but over a period of time they find loathed by Muslim community but welcomed in the Jamaat Ahmedia. Then they really become Qadiani. The low cast people became Christian’s enmasse in India for similar reason. I was proud of Yousuf when he was a Christian and scored against Christian countries for Pakistan. His act of making cross after scoring was pretty cute for me. Just like when Azharuddin made a century against Pakistan, the Indians were proud that their secularism worked. I am sure the Christian community prayed for his success just like I did for him, and that he was a great source of inspiration for his community. The question is, did he know all this? Did the community to make him aware of this give he? Will cursing and loathing him or blaming the authorities make him reconsider the decision? I seriously doubt it. If I were a Christian, I would get over this fiasco and keep up the Christian social work of School and Hospitals that is where I see people becoming Christians. I wish the Muslim community had intelligent leaders like Dr. Stephen Gill.
