Dear Christian Brothers and Sisters of Pakistan, I was very distressed to hear about the torching of so many churches, hostels and property by ignorant mobs propelled by the ravings of muslim religious seminarians. I and my church have been praying for all the people here for justice and peace to be restored. I can understand the sense of loss and frustration at the magnitude of destruction carried out by elements of hate. We pray that god will grant the Christian community fortitude to deal with these grave conditions; that it will bring the Christian community closer and that help will come to reconstruct these institutions. Wanton destruction of religious and educational centers just shows the hand and mark of the devil in the name of religion against Christians in Pakistan. These atrocities should be publicized all over the world, esp. in the western countries where every minority religion is demanding rights and benefits but they treat Christians like dirt in their native countries...God will lift you up and uphold you in your trial by fire.
