It has inspired me to write few line for your eyes regarding recent incident in Nowshara (NWFP): A Christian sweeper Yousaf Masih was hired by a house owner to clean the house which was locked for some time. Yousaf Masih was was also ordered to take all the trash out and burn it. It is to be noted that Yousaf Masih is mentally deranged and completely illiterate. Yousaf Masih found some books, which he collected and handed over to next-door neighbor. Obviously there was lot of trash left in the house and the rats and mice had field day shredding papers and other rubbish. While Yousaf Masih was burning trash some one noticed a page of Holy Qur'an being burned. Yousaf Masih was immediately arrested and the mob attacked a Hindu Temple destroying and burning the building. "But Yousaf Masih is not Hindu, he is Christian" they discovered. The angry mob turned to Church (not knowing it was Catholic or Protestant) destroying and burning it too. At this point Police stopped the mob and pushed them away from the Church. But angry mob rushed to G.T. Road (the main artery between Peshawar and Islamabad) They blocked the traffic, attacked cars of innocent travelers, and disrupted the flow of traffic for hours. *Yousaf Masih is still behind bars *Yousaf Masih will be punished for his crime *Yousaf Masih is part of conspiracy (against Islam) says Quazi Hussain Ahmad, Head Majis-e-Ammal of Pakistan. *The fact is Yousaf Masih is mentally imbalance. *The fact is Yousaf Masih is illiterate. *The fact is that Yousaf Masih is unable to distinguish between Urdu, Persian, Arabic or English Alphabets *The fact is Yousaf Masih was carrying his orders given to him by his employer. *The fact is that angry mob had no idea of Yousaf Masih's Religious affiliations. As a result the mob attacked Hindu Temple. While busy in destruction they come to know that Yousaf Masih was Christian. They diverted their destructive energy towards the Church. Police stopped them at this point. They turned to GT Road and blocked the road, disrupted traffic flow, attacked travelers, and damaged the cars, broke windows, etc. Does the mob know that those who were traveling on GT Road were Hindus? Christians? Or fellow Muslims? (This reminds me of Hollywood Wild, Wild, West) Now the media in Pakistan is as usual attacking Government of Pakistan for not providing enough protection to minority Religious place of worship *The media does not say anything about the destruction, and the angry mob. * The media does not say anything about the conspiracy as indicated by Quazi Hussain Ahmad. * The media does not say anything about the previous and present owner of the house who removed all of their worldly possessions from the house and left behind old copies of Holy Book The Qur'an for rates and mice.
