Pakistan was envisaged as an egalitarian and democratic non communal, Progressive secular state by its founder M.A.Jinnah. Unfortunately that high minded ideal has never been truly realized. Jinnah's speeches have been left to History. His words have been constantly ignored. Yet there is one community which has distinguished itself in the service of the Nation, and keeping Jinnah's dream alive. That is the christian community. They have served Pakistan as Doctors, Lawyers, Fighter Pilots, Military men, and most importantly as TEACHERS. Yet, successive Pakistani Governments have repeatedly oppressed the christians restricting their civil liberties. Inshallah, such horrors will be reversed, ... And Pakistan will become a progressive secular state of Jinnah's dreams with its christians playing a leading role in Pakistan's success! Yasser Latif Hamdani
