I am requesting help for a school in Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan. The name of the school is simply the “Child Friendly School”. This school began in 2003 to help the poor Christian students of different denominations (both male and female) who could not get education or could not continue their education because of financial problems. This group worked to raise funds for the poor Christians students. Nearly 5 thousand (5,000) rupees ($115) was collected. With this amount, the deserving students were provided books and uniforms. The main target of this school is to make the firm belief of salvation only through Christ; because Jesus said to us “I AM THE VINE AND YOU ARE THE BRANCHES” therefore we belong to one family of Christ. The school is working for all the denominations in the Pakistan to come to know the word of God and message of God. Two of the goals of this school are to: 1. Open small centers for those children are who do not have access to School. 2. Give the opportunity for school dropouts to study. 3. To provide formal and Non-formal education. 4. Bibles and Bible study. 5. To arrange the entertainment programs for the children. Activities of the “Child Friendly School” The most difficult task is to reach out to the students and build confidence among the parents that the students have different abilities. CFS (Child Friendly School) members visit from home to home and contact many Students. They reached many students that were helpless. Some students are regularly getting help from Computer Education. CFS has some educational programs, entertainment programs and parent’s awareness programs. Meetings with parents are regularly held to educate them on how to help their children deal with the pressures of living in a society where they are not accepted. The parents are informed on how they can boost the children’s confidence levels and learn to love themselves, even though they are constantly criticized for being Christians. CFS proudly provides funds to hundred students yet, by their own contribution. The children and their families are very thankful to CFS for their commitment. They build rapport among the community. Funds are extremely low at this time, and we are in dire need of financial assistance. Budget of the Project There 5 Schools in need of financial assistance Twenty five computers for the schools : $227*25 = $5675 Books for 5 Schools (Per Student) : $220*5 = $1100 Uniforms for 5 Schools : $200*5 = $1000 Stationary for 5 Schools : $150*5 = $750 5 white boards : $20*5 = $100 Total amount = $8625 There is also a need for Bibles in the Urdu Language for the community church. There are 200 Bibles needed at approximately $20 each. This equals $4000, which there is no funding for either. Please find it in your hearts to contribute to this much needed program in Pakistan, for there are not many organizations in Pakistan willing to help Christians.
