The Post correctly posted the following: "Bishop Nasir said that FTS Gujranwala have awarded D.D. degree to many American religious leaders like Dr. Parker T. Williamson, Dr. Keith Roderick, Mrs. Sylvia Dooling and the late Dr. Carl McIntire who proudly used FTS degree for the great missionary and evangelical work around the globe." The FACTS: Keith Roderick and I were both awarded a D.D. during the same ceremony by the same people at the same time in the same place! Roderick and I were given the exact same diploma. I have the pictures of the event and Dr. Carl NcIntire personally congratulated me. 1. Since Nasir recognizes Roderick's degree, on what grounds is mine called into question? 2. A D.D. is an honorary degree. Thus my ministry does not depend upon it. I have two earned doctorates, a D.Min. in apologetics from Westminster Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from an accredited University. Nasir cannot call them into question. 3. He sent us a rude and insulting email demanding that I send him by diploma. When we asked who he was and for people in the Pakistani Christian community in Philadelphia who would know of him, he refused and cursed us! 4. I sent Dr. Ben Amstrong, the present President of Faith Theological Seminary, the mother of tbe FTS Guijranwala, a copy of the diploma. He has verified that it has the correct seal and signatures. 5. What is the problem? The real issue is that Nasir disagrees with my understanding of Islam. But instead of debating the issues, he has decided to attack my character. But not finding anything in my life to vilify, he attacks the diploma as if I held a ceremony during which I gave myself a fake degree! This is of course absurd. Friends from the Pakistani Christian community in Philadelphia were present to witness the ceremony. He has admitted that Roderick received a valid diploma. If this is so, then so did I. 6. I did not know who Mr. Nasir was and assumed he was a rude and obnoxious Muslim because he sent us threats and insults. 7. I will arrange to put a copy of the diploma on my website for all to examine: www.faithdefenders.com. The diploma is not fake. It is Mr. Nasir who is fake! 8. I will not waste any further time on the foolishness of Nasir. If he spent as much time and energy on evangelizing Pakistan as he expends attacking Christians, the nation would be converted by now!
