An Open Letter Regarding Karachi Diocese... by BISHOP INAYAT

By :

My dear Bangash, The love, peace, grace and understanding of Lord Jesus be with you. I have never bothered to reply or write such letters but thank you brother for providing this opportunity which I hope will enlighten you as well as a lot of brothers and sisters around the world. I feel you are highly inspired by Bishop Malik and the so called 'Anglican Heritage'. I wish you were actually inspired by the Lord, His Word and the true Universal Church as they are everlasting and the source of 'Salvation' for every Christian and not your Bishop Malik or the so called Anglican Heritage. On the other hand from a person like you I would expect a just, honest and true opinion rather than the one you have pit up which is very much like the "Chamcha Culture" already prevailing in Pakistan. This is the attitude which has ruined the Church of Pakistan which is the part of the body of Jesus. The Word of God expects the believers to say yes in place of yes and no in place of no. Anyways you are also doing what the others are trying to do including the British Westerns. Instead of seeking the face of the Lord for His guidance and applying the Word of God in the situation they are 'Chamchafying' the policies of the former Archbishop and Bishop Malik (the Lord's mercy and forgiveness be with them and need to be led to repentance). The Anglican Heritage for most of us here in Pakistan is the policy of selling the left over properties of the British Raj through the Anglican Church of that time in the name of "LDTA". A number of properties have been sold by your heroes of the 'Anglican Heritage' since the year 1980 by making unilateral changes in the 'Articles of Association' of the LDTA in the middle eighties. A huge amount from the sale of these properties has gone in the pockets of the top management including the so called recognized Bishop of Karachi and the heroes of the Anglican Heritage. There was a time for long 15 years when the LDTA had members from all the Dioceses of the Church of Pakistan. Our stand on the issue is that:- 1) The management that is now holding LDTA had no right to make unilateral changes on the Articles of Association of the joint LDTA as the entire poor Christian community is the beneficiary of the assets of the Church. Millions of poor Christian families are still living below the poverty line and need the Church to extend help for their children in order to provide education to them. 2) No hero of the so called Anglican Heritage has the right to drain out the resources of the poor Church for his personal gain on the basis of clever paper work with no accountability. The nominal audit by the Chartered Accountants is merely an account of income and expenditure on the basis of receipts given to them. Just ask the hero of your Anglican Heritage or any member of his Executive Committee or the Diocesan council if any body outside their core group has ever seen the complete Audit report or a copy of the constitution of any of their bodies or the Council. 3) Ask the hero of your Anglican Heritage or else look into the papers on the record of the courts. An honest and just research (which is bound on you and so many other Christians) would reveal that the case un the courts was initiated on the basis of false affidavits by your recognized Bishop of Karachi on the instructions of the former Moderator of the Church of Pakistan who at that time wanted to become the Bishop of Karachi and was financially sponsored by him. That was the time when your Arch hero of the Anglican Heritage had said about the former Moderator, "He can stoop down to any level". I wonder and put this question directly to him, "How far have you stooped down"? 4) When the questions about the sale of the property in Quetta began to be asked openly out of which your recognized Bishop of Karachi had taken a sizeable share, the "Church property sellers association" as I call them joined hands in order to avoid accountability. But some day some where they will have to answer. 5) I dare you Mr. Bangash and your Western partners to come along with the sons and daughters of the Church of Pakistan, to Pakistan with a retired or sitting Judge of the High Court of London and hold an open inquiry into the affairs of the Church of Pakistan which should include sale of properties, financial matters including the Diocese of Karachi, abuse of power and constitutional corruption. I assure you and the rest of the world that if proven wrong I shall quit this struggle. On the other hand I would just ask the trespassers of the Church including your heroes of the so called Anglican Heritage to seek the forgiveness of the Lord and His people and mend their ways in future. Let me also tell you that the Day of Judgment even on this earth is not far away. Ask your so called recognized Bishop of Karachi, from where he took or borrowed the over eight million which he has spent so far against me. Let me tell you that I am historically more Anglican (former) than your hero of the Anglican Heritage and your so called recognized Bishop of Karachi, yet I know that I have to trust on my relationship with the Lord for my salvation. May the Lord bless you and open your eyes to find the truth and give you enough courage to stand on it. In the love of Jesus Christ (For the Unity of the Church) The Rt. Rev. Ijaz Inayat Masih Bishop's House Diocese of Karachi, CoP Holy Trinity Cathedral Abdullah Haroon Road Karachi - 75350 Pakistan
