According to Daily Jang London of 1st March 2004; This resulted in the loss of eye sights along with severe facial injuries for the young boy. Daily Jang in the 1st column of their page 3 named the unfortunate boy as Abid Tanoli, whereas the name of the Islamic religious leader from Karachi has not been mentioned. According to the newspaper, Dr. Cheema from Jinnah Postgraduate medical centre said that there has been severe damage dome to the eyes. For the treatment of such injuries, 25 thousand British pounds will be required. According to the newspaper, a hospital in USA has offered to treat the boy free of charge. It is strange that no Islamic country, including Saudi Arabia has shown any interest in the treatment of a fellow Muslim; whereas it is the "Biggest Shaitan"(according to various Islamic countries), who is offering help to this unfortunate boy. Moreover it is unlikely that the culprit, who is an Islamic religious leader will be brought to justice for this heinous act of brutality.
