Dear Editor of the ...Christian Post; I was surprised and excited to see your paper among the Pakistani papers in Brooklyn Pakistani Store and took a copy to see what our overseas Christian brethren have for their country of BIRTH "Pakistan". To be honest, I was shocked to see that under the garb of being a Pakistan paper, your comments about my homeland have not been less than an Indian Propaganda machine, your venomous prose and the anti Pakistani articles have injured my feelings as a Muslim Pakistani living in the North American continent. Looks like, you guys are just another instrument of the Anti Pakistani forces and in order to justify your so existence in this country and to get cheap popularity among the anti Pakistan forces and perhaps even get Political Asylum from the INS, you guys are putting this anti Pakistani stories in this paper. I am shocked as I have so many Christian friends as we studied in St Mary's High school In Peshawar, Pakistan, and they are all GOOD PARTRIOTIC PAKISTANIS. some are in the Air force, some in good professions, yes there may be cases here and there but tell me Mr. Intellectual, who in Pakistan has a special status today, all the population regardless of what religion they are suffering that is not the problem of Pakistan only. The third world countries on the whole are a victim of the circumstances, and you probably were born in my motherland Pakistan too, you know well, but just to earn some sympathies here you guys have resorted to distort and exaggerate the facts under the influence of Indians and some other anti state forces, your paper's copy I am sending to Pakistan Times and Nation Pakistan and also to the Information Ministry of Pakistan to make a note of these statements. I am further alarmed and could not hold my laughter when you guys are talking advantage of the current fervor against the Muslims in the world on the whole, you use the words Muslim Fundamentalists and Terrorists in Pakistan like you were some super humans or part of the Privileged west. Wake up Mr. you are no better than any other Pakistani who is being crushed under grinding poverty and civil rights snubbed because of the e sick systems your gods the British left behind!! By the way you have not said a word about Indians and the plight of Christian communities and burning of Churches and rapes of nuns in India, but why would you do that? You will not gain political gains in the west if you did that, you are only favored if you write against Pakistan, the Country I love and the one that we shall be buried in eventually!! For your information, my brother who has a friend into he army is a Christian, came to USA with his wife and was in the Philly area (my country Pakistani) Christian community wanted him to make a speech about how the Christians are ill treated and all crap, he is a very honest and patriotic fellow, he went to the dais and said that the whole mess is a big fallacy and there is no ill treatment against Christian folks in Pakistan in particular, the bad economy results in communities being back ward look at the general masses into he whole region, I am in the army and my best friends are all Muslims I am welcomed to their houses and all, he said that and also that he was ashamed at your people putting down the country of their birth he said that and left for Pakistan he was not planning to return. So what you are writing is only a bunch of lies anti Pakistani propaganda and I will tell you, I am shocked and ashamed of you being once part of Pakistan MY COUNTRY!!! So please open your hearts, and look around the world only Muslims are suffering in today's world not you guys look every where the killings are of Muslims (may be from their own faults but simply look around the dirty drains are filled with our blood, I am an educated Pakistani Muslim in the west and can not find a job in my area I am having to drive a cab because of my bad luck I would suppose, so should that be conceived as anti Pakistani thing by your standards it should... right!! I know you will never publish this letter but at least I have exercised my right of opinion!! Azi.
