Dear Sir I was very shocked to read the article you have published against me in your archives and would please ask that you kindly remove it from your web site immediately. The article was written by Bishop Timotheus Nazir, as the result of a misunderstanding, at a time when he had attempted to contact our organization, but had been unable to. Bishop Nazir is a good man and believed the information to be true at the time of writing. We have since made contact, made good friends and discovered how the sad misunderstanding took place. Dr Nazir has also since writing the article reviewed the course material I had submitted earlier and awarded me the Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral Degrees from Faith Theological Seminary, which I honestly had believed I had earned back in the mid 1990's. He has also invited me to address leadership events in Pakistan and plans to shortly visit my church in US, Cathedral of Faith to confer the Degrees officially. You can of course confirm this information with him. Leaving the article on your site would only promote confusion and division as the content are not accurate. There is already too much division among Christian leaders. We must not fight one another, but together unite against our common foe. Let me explain how the terrible misunderstanding arose. I believe it was in 1995 that I was contacted by the 'Dean' of Faith Theological Seminary. This was his claim, which he sent me literature from the Seminary to support. He informed me, "We wish to honor your work worldwide with Degrees from our Seminary." I was asked to submit theses, copies of the books I have had published and proof of my theological studies to support this, which I duly did. I was also asked to send modest seminary course fees, which I believed to be a normal request for a student. I was in fact glad to support a Pakistan Seminary, as I knew many national students could not afford the fees. I was also honored to be a graduate of a Pakistani Seminary, as I love Pakistan and the Pakistani people. It was not until I received Dr Nazir's letter earlier this year, that I had any idea that the Degrees might not be official. In fact when he contacted us, we thought it was a scam. It is only since, having talking with Dr Nazir, that we discovered that the Seminary staff member had kept my course fees and sent the Degree Certificates unofficially. Dr Nazir now knows that here was never any conspiracy or fraud on my or my staff's behalf. I neither required nor requested the degrees. I already had a Doctorate awarded to me in 1989. I, as the Seminary were, was simply tricked by this rouge employee, now ex-employee. Concerning your article, to set the record straight: I am not a healer and have never claimed to be . Jesus alone is the Healer. I simply preach the Gospel and pray for the sick. I am not self appointed. I am consecrated as Bishop of Orlando, Florida and member of the College of Bishops by the International Communion of Charismatic Churches, one of the world's largest Denominations, with 6000 churches and 20 million members worldwide. Many of the ICCC local churches in US have 7,000-15,000 members, whilst some in Africa have up to 50,000 members. I am not a false prophet. I have never claimed to be a prophet, just a servant and follower of Jesus Christ. I am not 'self appointed' Chancellor of Canon University, I was appointed in 2000 by the Founder and Board. I myself am a former student and graduate of Canon. By God's grace, I have never done anything illegal, nor have I ever obtained degrees fraudulently. In 30 years of ministry I have never been involved in a scandal or had any other accusations made against me. Therefore you will understand why the presence of this article on the web site is painful for myself, my staff and church members. I am sure, as both a serious and quality newspaper and Christian newspaper you would not want any longer to promote unkind, untrue and libelous information.
