Note these are modern ways of dealing with such cases. Anguish of religious minorities is manifold. We love the country that we live in and at the same time we love the countries where our fellow religionists are in majorities and run governments. I believe there is nothing wrong with feeling proud of fellow religionist, but this should not conflict with our loyalty for our country. On the other hand, we should denounce fellow religionists when we believe they are in the wrong. This is what many Christians are doing in the Iraq war. In this connection, the presence of a large number of Muslims in the gathering would certainly give that extra help to the cause espoused at this meeting. In their turn, Bagladeshi Hindus must also denounce Hindu cruelties to non-Hindus in India or wherever. Benefits of unity in diversity needs to be emphasised repeatedly. Swaali
