Dear Sir, I read you letter regarding a Christian girl getting married to a Muslim. As far as I understand that Islam does allows it provided the girl (woman) accepts Islam. On contrary, the Holy Bible, especially in Old Testament has forbidden such marriages. Though there is no clear reference in the New Testament, yet Lord Jesus Christ said, I have not come to abolish the Law and books of Prophets but to fulfill them. In my humble opinion, this marriage will not be appropriate according to Christian faith. Love for our children must not over come our belief. It is our moral and religious obligation to guide our children. I personally know many Muslims boys who are very nice, gentle and have good worldly future. Yet we must not encourage our daughters to marry them and be converted to Islam. In this way we lose a soul. It is absolutely important and, my friend loves his daughter, he must ask the Muslim boy to come in the truth of Christian faith. In this way not only one soul will be saved but also another soul will be saved and won for Lord Jesus Christ. Bishop Timotheus Nasir
