Srinagar: December 9, 2008. (PCP) Senior Vice Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front -JKLF- (Aman), Sheikh Mohammad Afzal has been released one day before Eid. He was actively involved in election boycott campaign and was arrested by Indian authorities on 8th of November 2008.
In a statement issued soon after his release from prison, S M Afzal paid rich tributes the people of Kashmir for their continuous and steadfast resentment against the forcible occupation of Jammu Kashmir state by India. He also thanked the diplomatic wing of JKLF based in England and supreme head Amanullah Khan for their continuous support of the Kashmiri people's right of self determination and for highlighting the human rights violations in the state.
JKLF leader S M Afzal also felicitated people of Jammu Kashmir on Eid and also saluted the determination of all Kashmiri pro-freedom leaders and activists who are lodged in different jails across India and prayed for their early release.
