Philadelphia: December 3, 2008. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President Pakistan Christian Congress PCC issued a statement here today to support Ahmad Verdick, leader of Tehreek-e-Istaqlal demand to divide Pakistan in 12 provinces but stressed upon Muslim leaders to include Christian’s demand to form Separate Christian Province on division of Punjab.
The statement of PPP federal minister Abdul Qayyum Jatoi to divide Punjab and formation of North Western Punjab Province was true voice of people of Punjab.
Nazir Bhatti said, “Division of Pakistan in 12 federal units to be called provinces is only solution to sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan including Separate Christian Province”
“I stress upon Christian youth to organize seminar and rallies to press demand of Christian Province unless it is too late” added Nazir Bhatti
PCC Chief said that S P Singa and Ralia Ram votes before Boundary Commission formed Pakistan but Muslim majority treated Christians like slaves after independence of Pakistan in 1947, which is not acceptable to us any more.
“The division of Pakistan in 12 provinces is only solution to end terrorism because more federal units shall be easy to govern and admin” said Nazir Bhatti
Nazir Bhatti warned Muslim leaders that formation of new provinces without Christian province shall not be acceptable to millions of Pakistani Christians.
