Pakistan: November 16, 2008. (Jawad Mazhar reports for PCP) A Christian family, resident of Chak (Village) # 98 North Branch (NB) Sargodha has gone into hiding in undisclosed location after being threatened of life and dire consequences by rich influential Muslim Dr Aslam Janjua the father of a Muslim man Najjam alias Najja who ruined the chastity of their daughter Nazia Bibi 12, during night of Oct 30th and Oct 31st., local Christian elder Warris Masih told PCP The local sources of Chak (village) # 98 NB revealed that Riaz Masih, a worker of Income Tax Department, had rented a small house from Dr. Aslam Janjua and he was residing there with his wife, two daughters and two sons. Sources further disclosed that Riaz Masih was a poor man with very little income to meet his every day necessities. Replying to question about the sad episode, local Christian elder Warris Masih said that on the night between Oct 30th and Oct 31st Najjam alias Najja , who used to live next door, allegedly ransacked the house of Riaz Masih. Masih further said that all the family members of Riaz Masih including his daughter Nazia Bibi were asleep in the courtyard of the house when Najjam alias Najja armed with a pistol broke in his home and made the tender aged Christian girl walk into the room silently at gunpoint to raped her. A Muslim man Muhammad Latif and a Christian Nasim Albert Ghauri, neighbors of the victim Christian family said that they pursued and tried to catch the molester red handed but he managed to escape under the cover of the dark night.. Both of them further added that Nazia’s parents covered her body and immediately called the local police. Sub-Inspector (SI) Abdul Rehman, the investigating officer of this case told PCP that police has registered a case with First Information Report (FIR) # 476/2008 against the Muslim molester Najjam alias Najja under articles 376 and 449 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) at Police Station Saddar of the Sargodha city. He also said that Dr. Aslam Janjua is keeping his son in hiding at an undisclosed location and he is neither producing him before the police nor co-operating with the police. On the other hand Christian residents of Chak (village) # 98 NB Sargodha, blamed that police is lenient towards the Muslim sexual assaulter because his wealthy father has heavily bribed the Saddar Police. Ferhan Mazher, Chairman of a Christian aid organization “Rays of Development Organization” (ROD) condemned the heinous act of the Muslim man and appealed to the Christian family contact him. Mr. Mazher pledged that ROD would provide medical support, if needed and legal support to the victim Christian family.. He also urged the local Saddar Police to arrest the wild man Najjam alias Najja instantly
