WASHINGTON DC: November 4, 2008 A meeting to pay international tribute to Shaheed-i-Baluchistan Nawabzada Bala'ach Marri will be held under the auspices of the American Friends of Baluchistan in Washington DC on November 29. The month of November marks the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Nawabzada Bala'ach Marri, a member of the provincial assembly of Baluchistan, and son of Baluch nationalist leader Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri. Marri had thrown the gauntlet at the rogue army of Pakistan, the fourth largest in the world and one that is armed with nuclear weapons. Marri was believed killed by the Pakistani forces in the Sarlath area of Baluchistan last year. Slain premier Benazir Bhutto had visited and condoled his death with his aging father, drawing the ire of the Pakistani generals. Bhutto was assassinated the following month. "Pakistan has a rogue army whose hands are dirty with the blood of millions of people, including Baluch, Sindhis, Pashtuns, and Bengalis. Unless the world unites to cut down this monumental force of evil into 20 percent of its present size, there won't be any peace anywhere," AFB founder Ahmar Mustikhan said in a statement Tuesday. "People are grieving in Baluchistan and beyond because of the machinations of this army. The new U.S. administration will have to prioritize the issue of dealing with this rogue army and conferring the right of self-determination to the Baluch people." Mustikhan said the upcoming case by the De Jure Ruler of Baluchistan, Beglar Begi [Prince Among Princes] Khan of Kalat Mir Suleman Daud Ahmedzai offers a glimmer of hope to the world as it could lead to a peaceful balkanization of Pakistan and then the Punjab will be left with no option but to do away with its parasitic army. A galaxy of speakers from Pakistan's ethnic and religious minority groups from the U.S. and Canada will address the gathering in D.C.
