USA: November 4, 2008. (PCP) The prayer event shall be attended by large gathering of Christians in Maryland on critical situation of Christian in Pakistan. The Christian persecution, blasphemy laws, court assistance needs, for tortured and threatened Christians, raped and enforced conversion incidents shall be also remember by congregation. There will be a focus on hunger needs of Christians and a special collection for Christians affected by the recent 6.4 earthquakes in Balochistan region. Winter is setting in soon in that area and many people are already starving and cold due to atta and rice shortages through out the country as well as increased electric shut offs if most these poor people even have electric connections. The funds can be forwarded by check in favor of Christ Memorial Presbyterian Church, 6410 Amherst Ave, Columbia, MD 21046. ATTN: Pakistan Hunger Project who can not participate in prayer but vow to donate. Press note also appeals to pray for Islamic radicals and those who target Christians for persecution, that the Gospel testimony they hear from Christians about Jesus as they are perpetrating these acts will impact their heart and minds so they realize the love of God is more powerful than any evil thought or action and will themselves be saved and live lives transformed for the glory of God!
