Lahore: November 4, 2008. (PCP report) Afzal Bhatti was born in 1942, in a small village Kalarkabad, in Punjab province of Pakistan. After marriage he moved to Lahore and started working in “Glaxo Welcome Factory Lahore’ as a welder to took care of his family by providing food, shelter and education. Afzal Bhatti bought two small pieces of residential plots in Bishop John Joseph Town, measuring 07 and 05 Marlas, Block M & C, House # 20 & 28, street # 01 & 02, in Youhanabad, Phase-11, Lahore. The due payments of these two small plots were made to Caritas, Lahore, in 2002-2003, with his retirement amount from factory. Afzal Bhatti with his love and effection for late Bishop John Joseph vowed to enter in social service of Christian community and commissioned a NGO's named as “Bishop John Joseph Futuristic Organization” for the welfare of the people in the village. He also dreamed to build a Church on the second property for the Christian community in the town but unfortunately; he became serious ill and passed away on 25th July 2008 in the Services Hospital, Lahore. His son presents the saddest part of this story; He tells that some unknown people demolished our father's both properties. We tried to find out who did that but didn't find about it and we build the same properties once again by our small savings and big efforts to keep our father's last dream alive to continue his passionate broken mission. So, we built the NGO’s working office and Church on the same properties on 12th October 2008, but on 17th October 2008 some people from DHA Defense Housing Authority came with bulldozers and demolished JOHN JOSEPH CHURCH and THE JOHN JOSEPH NGO's office. Now, this case is with Police and Court but Caritas has millions dollars and power by the Romans Charities and Organizations in Pakistan while DHA has billions dollars by dealing in expensive properties and run by ARMY. We don't have enough money to fight for Justice from these mighty people but we are trying our best to spread the words of God under the Sun on the Earth without any roof, as you may saw in the attached pictures. Mark Afzal Bhatti, son of late Afzal Bhatti can’t win case against Caritas nor against Army, which administrates DHA but hopes that prayers of his community shall empower him to regain dream property of his father where he initiated human services. Can we spread this story, a very sad story in which guards are robbers? Mark Afzal Bhatti adds “we know that caritas is here to help us not to bury us alive. They gave the poor people land in The John Joseph Town Youhanabad Phase-II Lahore-Pakista, by getting international fund. Their lives are very poor even families don't have something to eat; they can have lunch then don't have money for dinner” He expresses that DHA is buying the land in all the surroundings of John Joseph Town Lahore. Director of Caritas Lahore Mr. Raymond and Field supervisor Mr. Stephan may had joined their hands with the corrupt property dealers because they are not giving the proper papers to the poor people of Youhanabad-II Lahore (Pakistan) even they paid all their installments. They come to the caritas office several times, but there is nobody to meet them, they think that they are God and have the power over them because they are not enough educated regarding knowledge of rights, money and time to protest. Poor people living in John Joseph Town come to them to clear all due and get the clearance letter, but caritas don’t want to meet them because they want to sale the JOHN JOSEPH TOWN on higher prices to others. Defense Housing Authority says that half of the land of The John Joseph Town belongs to Mr. Raymond Director and half belongs to Mr. Stephan, who had sold the whole land to Defense Housing Authority. We are unable to understand that how they can sell the property to DHA, because that is the property of caritas and have been donated to poor people. Bishop of Lahore Mr. Lawrence Saldana is also not listening to the poor people, if we want to meet him and complain about something then everyone has to wait for at least 30 days and then can get only two minutes and even after complaint there is no response or action. We are unable to understand that why bishop is not listening to the poor people, may be he is also involved in this whole corruption. The director of Caritas is getting Rs.50000/- salary have his own business in U.S.A and property worth about Rs. about 30000000/- in Pakistan, and how a field supervisor earning salary Rs.10000/-can have his own land of worth about Rs.5000000/-. They have sold graveyard, sold the land of church, selling the streets. There are fifty registered corruption cases against Mr. Raymond and Mr. Stephan, bishop has closed his eyes and do not inquiring about anything. They are serving in a sacred institution and have fifty corruption cases.
