Pakistani lawyers to attend Int'l Christian lawyers moot
Lahore: October 4, 2008. (Khadijah Shah for PCP) Christian lawyers' organizations from across the world will participate in the International Conference to be held at Washington DC from October 6 to 12.
According to a press release issued here Tuesday, some 5000 Christian lawyers will participate in the conference, where participants from the world over will discuss ways to deal with issues like poverty, terrorism, religious sectarianism and other ills confronting the world community. A delegation of Christian lawyers from Pakistan will depart for Washington on October 4, led by the national director of an NGO Center for Legal Aid Assistance & Settlement (CLAAS) Joseph Francis. Team members include Aniqa Maria Akhtar, Justin Gill, Hashmat Barkat and Sunil Cornelius.
