Faisalabad, Pakistan: A Christian family’s home was reportedly set on fire following a local dispute in Chak 437 G/B, Tehsil Samundri, according to community representatives and local sources.

Pastor Imran Amanat, leader of LEAD Ministries, reported that, as he came to know, the incident took place on April 12 when an argument between the children of the affected Christian family and their Muslim neighbors escalated into violence, leaving two of the family’s sons injured.

Hanoch Masih, the head of the family and a visually impaired resident, reportedly said the altercation occurred in the evening. He stated that his children had engaged in a dispute with neighboring youths, during which two of his sons were injured. One of the injured sons is already living with a disability affecting his arm.

Following the clash, Masih alleged that the neighbors later returned in retaliation and set the family’s house on fire before fleeing the scene. The blaze left the family’s home severely damaged and rendered them displaced.

A heavy police contingent, along with senior officers, quickly arrived at the location and brought the situation under control. However, no arrests have been made so far, according to initial reports.

Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the alleged attackers or any potential charges. The incident has raised renewed concerns among local residents and rights advocates over the safety and protection of minority communities in rural areas.

LEAD Ministries, led by Pastor Imran Amanat, has called for prayers for the Christian family whose home was set on fire, as part of its ongoing efforts to highlight systematic violence and harassment against Christians. The organization continues to document such incidents, advocate for justice, and support minority communities through church planting initiatives, women’s empowerment programs, and pastoral care outreach.
