Lahore / Gujranwala: A Christian youth, Salati Masih, son of Shoukat Masih, was brutally murdered with iron rods and a knife in Bao Wala, Barki Road in Lahore on March 13, 2026, in an attack that has shocked the local community.

Police at Police Station C Division, Lahore, have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the alleged perpetrators, Muhammad Bilal and Muhammad Awais. According to reports, one suspect has been arrested, while authorities continue to pursue the remaining accused.

The victim’s body was transported to his permanent residence in Gujranwala district, where he was laid to rest today, March 14, 2026, as family, friends, and community members gathered to mourn his untimely death.

Pastor Imran Amanat, leader of LEAD Ministries, condemned the killing as a deeply disturbing act.

“An innocent Christian youth has been killed in an extremely brutal and cruel manner. This shocking act offends human conscience and raises urgent questions about the protection of minorities in our society,” he said.

“We demand that the authorities take swift action to bring the perpetrators to justice and provide solace to the grieving family.”

Sardar Mushtaq Gill, founder of LEAD Ministries, also called for justice and stronger protection for minority communities, urging the public to pray for the bereaved family and pressing authorities to hold all responsible accountable.

LEAD Ministries continues to document persecution and violence against Christians in Pakistan, advocating for religious freedom, pastoral care, and community support. While the organization does not have the financial resources to directly aid victims, it remains active in church planting, women’s empowerment, and advocacy for marginalized communities.

Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the motive behind the murder, and the investigation remains ongoing.
