Islamabad: Sardar Mushtaq Gill, Founder of LEAD Ministries, has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack at a Shia mosque in Islamabad, calling for an end to misleading narratives about terrorism and urging decisive action to prevent radicalization.
Gill said, “Stop saying that terrorists don’t have a religion. Terrorists also have a religion, they also have a sect, and they are human beings too. They also have national identity cards. This deceitful narrative must be rejected once and for all.”
He further warned that radical agendas based on religion must be halted and stressed the importance of protecting innocent individuals from falling victim to such extremist ideologies. “Powerful authorities can stop it if there is the political will to act,” he added, emphasizing that unchecked radicalization continues to exploit faith and vulnerable communities, threatening peace and social harmony.
Gill also extended his condolences to the families affected by the attack and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured. He urged state institutions, religious leaders, and civil society to work together to confront extremism with honesty, courage, and unity.
The attack has renewed national and international condemnation and debate over terrorism and radicalization, highlighting the urgent need for a consistent and truthful narrative that confronts violence directly.
