Sanghar, Sindh – A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday morning, 10th February, when the lifeless body of 24-year-old Christian doctor, Sabar Masih, was discovered in the Chak-36 Workshop area of Sanghar, Sindh. After a postmortem examination, it was confirmed that the young doctor had been brutally murdered by an unknown assailant, with signs of severe beating evident on his body.

Doctor Sabar, an unmarried man, had been running a private medical clinic in the Chak-36 Workshop area. According to his uncle, Doctor Izhaq, Sabar had gone to work as usual on Monday morning, visiting his clinic before heading to a nearby Muslim Jogi residential area to attend to a patient. However, after failing to hear from him for an extended period, Doctor Izhaq grew concerned and set out to search for his nephew.

Doctor Izhaq’s search led him to a disturbing discovery—Sabar’s body was found submerged in water, with the residents of the Jogi area confirming the location where it had been abandoned.

A formal complaint has been lodged with the local police at the Workshop 36 Chak police station in Sanghar, and investigations into the incident are underway. Early indications suggest that the murder may have been fueled by religious hatred, as the victim belonged to the Christian faith.

In response to the murder, Sardar Mushtaq Gill, the founder of LEAD Ministries Pakistan, an advocacy and aid ministry dedicated to helping Christians in Pakistan, strongly condemned the act of violence. He called for the immediate arrest of the perpetrators and demanded justice for the young doctor and his grieving family.

"This heinous act is a reminder of the growing intolerance and discrimination faced by religious minorities in Pakistan," said Sardar Mushtaq Gill. "We will continue to stand for the rights and protection of Christians and demand swift action from the authorities to ensure justice for Doctor Sabar Masih."

The murder of Doctor Sabar Masih has sparked outrage and deep concern within Pakistan’s Christian community, with calls for increased efforts to safeguard the lives of religious minorities in the country. The investigation continues as authorities search for the individuals responsible for this tragic loss.

LEAD Ministries Pakistan remains committed to providing advocacy and support to Christians in Pakistan, calling for an end to such religiously motivated violence and discrimination
