NCIDE presents Gifts to the Students of Muslim Madaris on Christmas Day

Lahore: (PCP) A graceful ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Church Gulberg on Christmas Day in order to share the joy, brotherhood and peace of Christmas with the Muslim brothers where a good number of students from Madaris participated. His Grace Archbishop Sebastian Francis Shaw, the Chairman of the National Commission for Interreligious Dialogue and Ecumenism (Pakistan Catholic Bishops’ Conference) welcomed all the students from the Madaris along with the Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap the Executive Sectary of NCIDE. All the students were very glad to received gifts on the Christmas Day by His Grace Archbishop Sebastian Francis Shaw. His Grace emphasized on human dignity without any discrimination in his message. He also gave the message of tolerance and acceptance.

Fr. Francis Nadeem the Executive Sectary of National Commission for Interreligious Dialogue and Ecumenism (Pakistan Catholic Bishops’ Conference) said that Christmas is the time to share love and joy. He also stated that the purpose of this ceremony is to give the message of peace and harmony for a better Pakistan. Maulana Muhammad Asim Makhdoom, the Chairman of Kul Maslik Ulma Board appreciated the initiative of the National Commission for Interreligious Dialogue and Ecumenism. He said this ceremony is a practical message of peace, tolerance and acceptance.

At the end of the ceremony different Christmas gifts were presented to the students of madaris. All the students were also given a special cap for prayer.
