Muslim Christian Children gather to promote Peace and Dialogue

Lahore: October 23, 2019. (PCP) A number of Christian and Muslim Children gathered for a noble cause to promote peace and Interfaith Dialogue under the platform of National Commission for Interreligious Dialogue & Ecumenism.

Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap (Executive Secretary NCIDE) along with Muslim leaders Moulana Muhammad Asim Makhdoom and Moulana Ashiq Hussain. Mr. Robinson Aziz Francis (Vice Chairman advisory council for Human Rights), Fr. Abid Habib, Fr. Emmanuel Mushtaq and Br. Danish Danial participated in this ceremony. In the beginning of the programme, all the dignified guests lit Peace Candle in remembrance of 800 celebrations of Historical meeting of St. Francis and Sultan Al Kamil in Egypt.

Children of different schools presented beautiful skits and songs expressing their desire for peace and harmony in the world. The guests cited the efforts of children and admired their performance in their messages. They encouraged the students to be an instrument of peace and harmony in the society and continue to work for the promotion of Interfaith Dialogue.

In his message, Fr. Francis Nadeem advised the students to adopt the values of Peace in life. As they are the future of our Nation, they should be the Ambassadors of Peace in their actions and should spread the message of peace without any discrimination.
