Pakistani Hindu “Sindh Koli Ittehad” Long March to Hyderabad for Rights

HYDERABAD: June 16, 2019: (By Abbas Kassar) Sindh Kolhi Ittehad (alliance of minority Hindu Kolhi community) took out a long march from Mithi(Thar) to Hyderabad with their remands of restoration of the rights to aborigines.

Long march rally which taken our from Mithi on 8 June 2019 marching from Nnaokot, Jhudo, Tando Jan Muhammad, Digri, Tando Ghulam Ali, Matli, Tano Muhammad Khan, Husri to Hyderabad was addressed by Kolhi leaders in front of local press club.

Those who led march and spoke included Rashala Kolhi, Rano Kolhi, Bharmi Bai,Pushpa Kumari and Kewal. They were chanting slogans urging authorities to accept their demands which included rights of aborigines.

They said that there were original residents of Sindh but have been pushed to lower status of society and deprived of their natural rights. Their demands included to allotting lands to their backward tribes, to give them quota in assemblies and senate according to population, to end occupation of the graveyards, plots, places of worship and lands of scheduled castes and providing sweet drinking water to Kolhi community across the province especially in rural areas of Nagarparkar.
