Karachi: May 2, 2018. (PCP) Special Prayer Services were organized in different parts of the country for equal rights of religious minority community of Pakistan specially for Christians, forced conversion, forced marriages and misuse of blasphemy law on 1st May 2018.
Special Prayer Services attended by huge number of Christians who recited their prayers for the regions minorities of Pakistan. Central Special Prayer Service offered in Awami Church, Essa Nagri, Karachi.
Ms. Allomia-ul-Raj Christian Lawyer and Human Rights Activist said that she will continue voicing against discrimination and will demand equal rights for minorities of Pakistan.
She condemns the recent terrorist attack in Quetta where Shia Hazara Community and Christian Community on the target of extremists. She requests Government of Pakistan to protect their valuable lives and properties.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued by Central Secretariat of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC said that government secret agencies threatened many major church leaders in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta to not hold gatherings to mark The Fast and Prayer in Cathedrals.
According to information’s collected by reliable sources told Pakistan Christian Post that hundreds of thousands of Christians in every city of Pakistan offered Prayers in houses in small groups against mis-use of blasphemy laws and enforced conversion of Christian women to Islam.
Few Pastors and Evangelists who work with government agencies to cover up their foreign funds spread rumors that if any gathering is held in Churches those responsible will be arrested.
Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC paid homage to millions of Pakistani Christians to mark The Day of Fast and Prayer.
