Police on high alert with fool proof security for Churches and Christian colonies

HYDERABAD: December 18, 2017. (Abbas Kassar) Hyderabad police has been put on high alert after Quetta Church terrorists attack with directives from SSP Hyderabad Pir Muhammad Shah to all DSPs and SHOs to make fool proof arrangements around Churches, places of worship of Christian community, their residential colonies, community centers and fast food restaurants of foreigners with increased police force until next orders. A meeting of police officers was held at police headquarters on orders of SSP. Meeting was chaired by SP headquarters Abdullah Memon which was attended by SP city Zahida Parveen, all DSPs, SHOs, priest of St.Thomas Church father Naseer/Imran, father James Kajoo rector of St. Cathedral Church, father Saleem of St.Philips, father James of St. Elizabeth church, Pastor Yousuf of 7th day church and all administrators and officials of all churches of district were present. It was decided that leaders of Christian community would extend cooperation with police with regards to checking security appliances, CCTV cameras live through their volunteers at all places of worship, community centers, missionary schools, missionary hospitals and residential colonies and to remain 24 hours in touch with police officers. MARRIAGE HALL TO BE CLOSED BY 11 P.M: Meanwhile SSP Hyderabad has issued orders for marriage hall to remain closed by 11 p.m. and has asked SHOs concerned to ensure that no marriage or other ceremony takes place or continues after 11 night. He has also banned all kinds of fireworks or firing aerial of otherwise at marriage halls during ceremonies. Order has bound SHOs as responsible to follow the orders and in case of contravention SHOs will be held responsible with action to be taken against them
