Stephen Gill presents Books to Cornwall Public Library

Canada: November 6, 2017. (PCP) Stephen Gill presented copies of five books to Cornwall Public Library on the 24th of October 2017. One book, titled The Singer of Life, consists of love sonnets by Stephen Gill and evaluations by literary critics from different countries. The second book, MY TWO NOVELS OF IDEAS, has The Coexistence and The Chhattisgarh in one volume. The third book, A CRITICAL STUDY OF STEPHEN GILL’S NOVEL THE COEXISTENCE, is a collection of research papers and essays by different literary critics from different countries, and is edited by Professor Dr. Shobha Diwakar from India and Professor Dr. Olimpia Iacob from Romania. In addition to these books, Stephen Gill presented the Romanian translation of his modern epic The Flame and collection of his poems, titled Shrine. Stephen Gill is multiple award-winning Indo/Canadian self-exiled poet, fictionwriter and essayist. He has authored more than thirty books, and14 books of critical studies on his books have been released. Stephen Gill presented his other books before on September 11 in 2015. Cornwall is the home-town of Stephen Gill. The copies presented to Cornwall Public Library were received by Dawn Kiddell. She is the chief executive officer and chief librarian. Dawn Kiddell has been with the library for a little over 21 years, and is a graduate of McGill University in Master of Library & Information Studies. Dawn Kiddell also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the same university, and is a graduate in journalism from Concordia University. Cornwall Public Library has a long history since 1895. It is now located in an impressive building on Sydney and Second Street in the heart of the city. It has several rooms to hold meetings. Its card catalogue, check out process and cataloguing are computerized. The library provides free internet and also provides free access to researchers to subscribe data bases, making the library’s catalogue accessible via web sites. Its services include large print books and also books on tape and CD, as well as its services to handicapped persons. Its staff helps library users in several ways, including finding materials and responding to questions and suggestions in person, by telephone and email. Cornwall Public Library is properly equipped for interlibrary loan service to obtain books from other libraries, for Microfilm system, and for printing, photocopying and faxing needs. It has a vast collection of English and French books, magazines and other materials for researchers and general public.
