Olive Peace Tree Plantation at Minar-e-Pakistan

Lahore: August 9, 2017. (PCP) An Olive Peace Tree Plantation was held at Minar-e-Pakistan in connection with Independence Day Celebrations. The leaders from different religions representing Muslim, Christian, Sikh and Hindu communities were present on this occasion. Fr. Francis Nadeem elaborated the significance and importance of the Olive Tree and its Fruit by referring the historical events. He said that Olive is considered a sacred plant in all the religions as a symbol of Peace, Prosperity victory and purity. The plantation of the olive tree at this historical place on this special occasion carries a lot of importance. All the leaders appreciated this practical demonstration of national solidarity and promised to bring forth all of their abilities for the progress and development of Pakistan. Among the Participants were Fr. Francis Nadeem, Fr. Inyat Bernard, Rev. Shahid Merhaj, Mr.Sohail Ahmad Raza of Minhaj ul Quarn Institute, Sardar Bishan Singh,Sardar Ranjeet Singh, Sardar Utar Singh and Pandit Bhaggat Lal from HinduCommunity. A good number of people from all the religions were also present for this occasion.
