Karachi: May 12, 2017. (PCP) Minority Lawyer Ms. Jacquline Sultan who is Member of Karachi Bar Council, practicing since a decade as well she is active for human rights, she has worked against forced marriages, forced conversions and providing help to the victims of Blasphemy Law.
Ms. Jacquline Sultan has received a threatening letter which was found in her chamber’s letter box warning therein to stop her social activities otherwise she will face dire consequences and will be killed. Ms. Jacqueline Sultan has intimated about this incident in written to Mr. Naeem Qureshi, President Karachi Bar Association, concerned Police Station Risala South, SSP South and DG Rangers.
Today, 12th May, 2017 Karachi Bar Association in its General Body Meeting has strongly condemned this incident. Political, Social and Religious Communities have also condemned. Bar Association and Human Rights Associations have demanded Provincial and Federal Government to provide sufficient security to Christian lawyer and probe into this matter and culprits may be booked as soon as possible.
