Pope Francis and Mahmoud Abbas celebrate opening of Palestinian Embassy in the Vatican

Vatican City: January 18, 2017. (PCP) Pakistani Christians witness it with surprise and concerns as Pope Francis received Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Vatican to celebrate opening of Palestine Embassy in previous week. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC said the opening of Palestinian Embassy in Vatican have surprised millions of Christians around globe after UN Security Council meeting in which Obama Administration stabbed in back of Israel and two days earlier to Paris moot on two-state theory in middle east of Israel and Palestine. “Pope Francis comparison of Holy Bible and Quran and declaring it of same value have already created concern among Christians and now to celebrate Palestine embassy neglecting Israel position which is flock of chosen people and inherits of sacred land according to Holy Bible” added Dr. Nazir Bhatti According to media reports Palestine’s ambassador to the Holy See, Issa Kassissieh, hailed the inauguration of the embassy as “a significant achievement for the Palestinian people,” adding that Pope Francis has taken “a moral, legal and political stand through recognizing the state of Palestine along the pre-1967 borders.”
