Toba Tek Singh: December 30, 2016. (PCP) The death toll have risen to 50 and dozens under treatment in Toba Tek District Headquarters Hospital and Allied Hospital Faisalabad are complaining of losing eye sight after consuming toxic liquor on December 25, 2016, during celebration of Christmas in remote district of Punjab province of Pakistan.
The victims of toxic liquor are mostly Christian residents of Mubarakabad Colony of Toba Tek but 5 Muslims are also among dead.
There are reports that police have arrested three Christians on charges of selling tainted alcohol on Christmas Day which have killed 50 and many are feared to loose eye sight. The 41 victims are under treatment but complain of not seeing properly.
According to orphans and widows of victims of toxic liquor, police is protecting culprits and arresting innocent Christians in this case.
The families of victims told Pakistan Christian Post that toxic liquor which killed their love ones was sold by police to one Christian employed in Police Station. The Christian Sanitary worker in Police Station told Christian buyers of Toxic Liquor that it is best quality alcohol because he have brought it from store of Police Station.
It is learnt that police officers gave toxic liquor to their Christian employee and Christian celebrating Christmas not hesitated to buy it which killed them.
