J Salik said that after thirteen years of our legal fight finally we have won finally, the case regarding minorities’ elections and in this regard Supreme Court of Pakistan concluded that election method for minorities is not correct, their representatives should come through elections instead of selection as selection method is showing that the minorities are second class citizens in Pakistan and it is discrimination, but unfortunately it is not even discussed in the Parliament of Pakistan even after passing more than an year. While telling the problems of minorities, he said that the rights of sanitary workers are vanished due to the contract system which is their bigger loss. He further said that the dwellers of slums are spending their lives with no basic facilities of life like water, electricity and gas.
