The struggle of Khadim Wilson Khadim will ever remain a milestone in history of Pakistani Christians. He was role model for Christian leaders and activists in Pakistan who do not believe to compromise on principals. He was a passionate orator, revolutionary writer and political strategist. It is surprising and bad luck of Pakistani Christians that he died without any public award in his last rituals when unworthy and low level leaders, activists and writers are offered with awards by Christian NGO,s and different forums who have no valuable services for Christian nation. I think, Christian awards are also distributed on so-called public relations and basis of friendship ignoring true deserving peoples when I not find any with profile of Khadim Wilson Khadim. Whenever he was visiting me with new publication of monthly “Badshaht”, I used to read every line of it; I appreciated efforts of Khadim Wilson Khadim because he was writing with his own pen on white paper sheets, then making photo copies and stapling it in shape of booklet and distributing it. Can anyone imagine that how much time he was paying to his struggle for social, religious and political uplift of Christians with his publication “Badshaht”? When I heard news of death of Khadim Wilson Khadim, it truly made me very sad and I wanted to pay homage to his services with writings because I thought it will be my Award to him that his name, his struggle, his ideology and his struggle may remain on Internet search engines forever that next generation of Pakistani Christian may remember that there was a Christian leader named Khadim Wilson Khadim who sacrificed his entire life for their betterment. Before I elaborate on life of Mr. Khadim Wilson Khadim, I would like to add that I requested many activist and leaders in Karachi to send me exact date of death but none of them responded, so, I waited for months when Mr. George Sadiq visited me and I urged him same. Herewith I am submitting brief on life of Mr. Khadim Wilson Khadim which Mr. George Sadiq mailed me: “Khadim Wilson Khadim was born on 5th November 1939 in his ancestral village Bupalwala near Daska in District Sialkot and completed his early education up to Matric in his home town. In 1955 he moved to Karachi for better prospects. He started his career as a Teacher with St. Teresa Primary School and was elevated to the position of a Principal. Due to differences with the management he left the job of a principal and started his own primary school in Landhi area of Karachi in 1985 by the name of St. Anthony. He was also appointed as a Director on the Catholic Board of Education. From his youth days he was a hockey player, an active social worker, a religious activist, a poet, a caring friend and a loving father. He breathed his last breath on April 5, 2016. He has left being four sons and 3 daughters” After posting my comments on social media about report to write on life of Khadim Wilson Khadim then many appreciations were laid out as: Iqbal Ghauri, a Christian activist from Karachi wrote “Khadim Wilson Khadim was a great man. May his soul rest in peace and God bless those friends who still remember him” David Johnson, a prominent Christian leader of Pakistan Masihi League in which Khadim Wilson Khadim was Secretary Information, who is based in UK now wrote “God bless his soul, late Khadhim Wilson Khadim was a bold veteran and a guru of Pakistan Christians political & welfare's struggle” Albert Massey, an engineer in civil services of Sindh who is now residing in USA commented “Yes, his struggle was great...Thanks to remember such leadership” There is very active group of Christian leaders and human right activists in Karachi city which is also recognized as “Mini Pakistan” but unfortunately there was no news on print or electronic media about death of prominent Christian leader Khadim Wilson Khadim. I always stress that our Christian nation must install traditions to remember Christian martyrs, writers, poets and leaders that our next generation may follow their guidelines for struggle of rights in Pakistan to achieve equal basic democratic rights. According to me, Khadim Wilson Khadim was a leader and Catholic Church Reformer in Pakistan. He was targeted by Catholic Church of Pakistan on demand of due right of education for Christian Youth in missionary schools and admissions in Seminaries that Punjabi Christian who are 99% of congregation may take over clergy from foreign missionaries. The Catholic Church of Pakistan took away his job of Headmaster in one Catholic School and later instructed congregates not to send their children to Private School established by Khadim Wilson Khadim to end his voice and to financially crush him but he kept flags high and marched on way for rights of people till his death instead of compromise on principals. Khadim Wilson Khadim was printing “Monthly Badshaht” and regularly dispatching it to Holy Father Pope in Vatican City that he may intervene in issues of Catholic congregation to ensure justice. He anxiously waited for appearance before Holy Father Pope which he never received. I appeal Christian NGO,s and other forums in Karachi that “life achievement award for Khadim Wilson Khadim may be commissioned” to pay homage to services of this great leader. By Dr. Nazir S Bhatti
